An Afternoon as a Voice Talent
My friend, Anna, my husband's co-Teacher (who now works for an ad agency) told me before that she was going to get me to do a voice over for a radio commercial because I could speak Cebuano. Never really took it seariously until she called me Sunday night to go for a recording the next day. I went over to the ad agency she was working for and waited a bit. I was very excited... giddy in fact. I've always wanted to do voice work... was even planning to take a course at creative voices in October and out of the blue she called. I just had to do three short lines, even shortened one some more because the way it was written was too formal, and they were doing a market scene. After removing a few words here and there, I was finally ready to do the recording, I think I needed to do about four or five takes of each line before they were happy with the work. It was such fun! I was a tad bit nervous because it was a first but I was enjoying it more than anything. Just had to pretend to be excited about the product and showing it to a friend, had to pretend to laugh.. which was bit difficult but I think I pulled it off... he he he ... :) another adventure experienced, a few friends made, lessons learned :) ok, what's next?
